Personal Profile

Xu Chengyuan, born in 1962, is a member of the Revolutionary Committee of the Chinese Kuomintang. He began studying calligraphy and seal carving in the early 1980s and has spent decades regarding calligraphy and seal carving as his spiritual haven for cultivating temperament and character. He has long devoted himself to the careful study of Qing dynasty calligraphers' seal scripts, later drawing inspiration from Warring States bronze inscriptions and bamboo-silk manuscripts. He received meticulous guidance from Master Ning Shuheng, and instruction from Masters Liu Jinkai, Gao Qingchun, and Cui Shenghui, gradually developing his own distinctive seal script style.
