Yu Jinyu, courtesy name Zizhu, studio name Moyuxuan. Born in January 1963 in Jingdezhen, ancestral home Jiangxi Duchang, university-educated. Currently a member of the Chinese Academy of Calligraphy and Painting, Beijing Huaxia Lanting Calligraphy and Painting Academy Visiting Professor, Deputy Secretary-General of the Organizing Committee of "Chinese Dream · Cultural China Ten Thousand Li Journey". Member of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Federation of Literary and Art Circles Calligraphers Association, member of the China Calligraphy and Painting Society, member of the China Ceramic Art and Culture Development Center, member of the Jiangxi Provincial Fine Arts Association, standing director and academician of the Jiangxi Provincial National Defense Culture Ceramic Art and Painting Academy, vice president and academician of the Zhushan Calligraphy and Painting Academy in Jingdezhen, senior ceramic calligraphy and painting artist. Has loved calligraphy since childhood, diligent and eager to learn; won first prize in his school's calligraphy and painting competition during middle school, and second prize in the citywide calligraphy and painting performance contest for primary and secondary school students (judged by Bi Yuanming and Hu Xianya). For decades, he has persisted in brushwork and advanced with determination. In recent years, under the guidance of master artists, he has meticulously studied ancient calligraphic masters' rubbings, integrated diverse styles, and developed his own unique approach, specializing in large-character calligraphy while also excelling in running, cursive, clerical, and seal scripts.
