Wu Yang
Personal Profile
Wu Yang, courtesy name Caixi, was born in 1987 in Yichun, Jiangxi Province. He is a Chinese master of arts and crafts and a contemporary young ink painter with tremendous potential. Since childhood, he has been deeply passionate about painting. His father is a renowned seal carving master. Influenced by his family, Wu Yang exhibited strong artistic talent and received basic painting instruction from his mentors. Growing up in such a rich cultural environment, Wu Yang was nurtured by the traditions of Chinese culture. Yet life offered him no other path: he struggled through challenges and transcendence, moving from school to business, and from factory work to the path of art. Wherever he went, his interest in painting never waned. Art became a sacred land to him; like a devout pilgrim, he persistently walked this sacred path. Practice yields true knowledge—through his work, he met several renowned painters and humbly sought their advice on difficulties in painting, significantly improving his skills. For over a decade, under any circumstances, Wu Yang never put down his brush or left his ink and color palette. He embarked on the path of painting, and life also offered him other opportunities: through perseverance and struggle, his painting techniques have steadily advanced.

Since entering the market, his works have consistently been favored by consumers. Some pieces have been privately commissioned and collected. In 2010, his ink painting "Mountain Village" was collected by an international friend from Mozambique. In 2015, his ink painting "Roaring Through the Clouds" was collected by an international friend from Mozambique.
