 Chen Zhimeng (Meng), male, was born in Poyang, Jiangxi. He graduated from Jingdezhen Ceramic Institute. He is a representative inheritor of ink-color painting in Jingdezhen's intangible cultural heritage, a mid-career ceramic artist, and a professional painter. Member of the China Society of Arts and Crafts, and member of the China Ceramic Art Association. He studied under Li Wenyue, a Master of Chinese Arts and Crafts and a National Intangible Cultural Heritage inheritor, and Xia Ying, a National Skill Master. He has been carefully guided and recognized by multiple Masters of Chinese Arts and Crafts.    Chen Zhimeng has been passionate about painting since childhood. Through continuous learning and research in ceramic art, he has absorbed the strengths of various schools and developed his own unique artistic style. He excels in figures and animals, especially in overglaze ink-color gilding, depicting immortals, Taoists, Buddhists, and literati. He breaks away from stereotypical conventions, infuses his works with humanistic spirit, and creates his own artistic symbols.    His representative works include ink-color gilding pieces such as “Eighteen Arhats,” “Vimalakirti Preaching,” “Vimalakirti at Home,” “Zen,” “Subduing the Dragon Arhat,” “Subduing the Dragon and Tiger,” and more. In 2019, he participated in the Advanced Training Program for Jingdezhen Ceramic Art New Artistic Community “Jingpiao” Talent, hosted by the China Federation of Literary and Art Circles Institute in Beijing. In 2019, he participated in the Research on Ceramic Culture and Artistic Innovation Design organized by Jingdezhen Ceramic University and the Jiangxi Provincial Department of Human Resources and Social Security. In 2019, he was appointed as a Visiting Professor of the Art Department at Gansu Institute of Technology, specializing in Craft Art Design. In 2018, his ink-color gilding work “Family Inheritance” was selected for the exhibition “Porcelain Painting Jiangxi – Outstanding Ceramic Paintings Celebrating the 40th Anniversary of Reform and Opening Up.” In 2018, he attended the National Art Fund Advanced Training Program on “Ink-Color Porcelain Production Techniques.” In 2018, the 253rd Unit of Jingdezhen awarded him the title of “Model Supporting the Military.” In 2018, he was invited to participate in the “Art Enters the Barracks and August 1st Military慰问” event. In 2018, his work “Facing the Wall” was collected by the Poyang Lake Museum’s Collection of Master Paintings and Calligraphy. In 2018, he participated in the Jingdezhen “Thousand Ceramic Artists Hand-Painted Vases” Guinness World Record creation project. His ink-color gilding work “Enlightenment” was permanently collected by the Donghai Guanyin Temple in Shanghai in 2018. His ink-color gilding work “Subduing the Dragon and Tiger” won the First Prize in the “Golden Sunflower Cup” Second Jingdezhen Original Ceramic Art Competition in 2017.   “Tiger Power” was donated for the “Qingxi Tongtong” charity painting event in 2014.   “Ruler of the Sacred Land” won the Gold Award at the 27th China Beijing International Gift and Craft Exhibition in 2013.   “Majestic Spirit” won the Gold Award at the First Zijing Cup Fine Art Competition in Jingdezhen in 2012.   “Dragon’s Roar, Tiger’s Howl” won the Gold Award at the 11th China International Expo of Masters of Arts and Crafts in 2010.   His work “Drunk Monk” has been collected by the Jiangxi Provincial Museum, among others…   His works and papers have been featured in multiple magazines. His artworks are highly favored and esteemed by collectors, connoisseurs, and professionals both domestically and internationally.
