Personal Profile

Li Feitao, a National First-Class Technician, Senior Artisan of Jingdezhen, and member of the Jingdezhen Calligraphy Association, was born in 1980 into a family of ceramic artisans in Jingdezhen. He graduated from Jingdezhen Ceramic Institute and began learning ceramic painting techniques at the age of 12. He specializes in depicting figures—both ancient and modern—as well as birds, flowers, animals, traditional patterns, and landscape scenery using both overglaze and underglaze techniques. He emphasizes absorbing the strengths of traditional art and contemporary masters, pursuing high artistic taste with a distinctive personal style. His expressive methods avoid clichés; his works feature delicate lines and vibrant colors, condensing Chinese traditional culture and ceramic painting art onto small porcelain surfaces, making them highly sought after by ceramic enthusiasts and collectors alike.
