 Chen Yu, born in 1973, styled Zai Xiong, art name Dong Wang, pen names Da Shi and Yi Liao Shan Ren. Born into a distinguished family of scholars, he has a modest command of poetry, painting, calligraphy, and seal carving, with slight familiarity with Western techniques. Today, he is neither affiliated with any association nor part of any group, faction, school, or lineage; he holds only a faint reputation but shuns vanity, immersed in ink and color while extensively exploring the arts, devoted to his brush and reverent toward paper and walls. Over the decades, his mural works have spread across the entire country and Southeast Asia, with a number of murals unmatched in the industry, earning him the title of "Jiangxi's Number One Muralist" and "The Brush of Jiangnan."
