Personal Profile

Fan Dagang, originally named Fan Xiaogang, hails from Jinxi County, Jiangxi Province. He graduated from the School of Architecture at Nanchang University and further studied Chinese Painting at the Academy of Arts & Design, Tsinghua University, under the guidance of Masters Zhou Fengjun and Wang Shoulin. He has conducted in-depth research in both oil painting and Chinese ink painting, possessing a solid foundation in figurative representation and a rich array of expressive techniques. His oil paintings are robust and substantial, with a grand aesthetic; his ink paintings feature powerful brushwork and ink tones, exuding refined elegance, earning widespread admiration from collectors and high praise from senior figures in the art community. Numerous works have been collected by art enthusiasts and institutions in Japan, South Korea, and other countries!
