Yan Renlong's Calligraphy: Strict Structure, Elegant and Vigorous Yan Renlong, pen name: Zizhutang, courtesy name: Nan Shan Xian Ke. Born in 1963 in the hometown of Ru Zi, Nanchang, Jiangxi Province. Member of the China Calligraphers Association, Member of the China Artists Association, Member of the China Calligraphy and Painting Artists Association, Special Appointment Calligrapher of the Training Center of the China Folk Calligraphy and Painting Research Association, Member of the Jiangxi Provincial Calligraphers Association, Member of the Jiangxi Provincial Mao-style Calligraphers Association, Member of the Nanchang City Calligraphers Association. Mr. Yan Renlong has been passionate about calligraphy since childhood, dedicating decades to the exploration and practice of large-character calligraphy, developing his unique style. His calligraphy integrates Daoist philosophy, characterized by strict structure, grand momentum, a harmonious blend of strength and gentleness, weightiness without losing vitality, fullness without losing elegance, forming an artistic style with profound implications—like dragons racing along rivers and tigers shaking mountains. Mr. Yan Renlong's calligraphy works have been appraised by a panel of contemporary art appraisal experts, with a market rate of 1,500 RMB per square foot, and have been successfully listed on the United Cultural Assets Exchange in the United States. He is a calligrapher with tremendous developmental potential. His works were exhibited at the Jiangxi Provincial Library's Calligraphy Exhibition celebrating the 70th Anniversary of the Founding of the PRC and have been permanently collected by the library. His ink painting "Tiger, Strategizing from the Tent" is housed in the collection of the China Folk Calligraphy and Painting Research Association. His works have won the Third Prize in the Third Most Influential Calligraphy and Painting Artists Competition, as well as multiple awards in the 11th China Ink Painting Competition, generating significant influence in the field of calligraphy.
