Shen Peng

Shen Peng, born in 1931, is a native of Jiangyin City, Jiangsu Province. Calligrapher, art critic, and poet. Honorary member of the Tenth Session of the Chinese Federation of Literary and Art Circles. Since 1950, he has worked at the "People's Photo Magazine" Society. He has served as Deputy Director of the Editorial Department, Director of the General Editorial Department, Deputy Chief Editor, and concurrently as Executive Vice Chairman of the Editorial Review Committee. He enjoys the special government allowance approved by the State Council. In March 1993, he was elected as a member of the Eighth National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference. He has served as Standing Director, Vice Chairman, Acting Chairman, Chairman, and Honorary Chairman of the Chinese Calligraphers Association, as well as Honorary Art Consultant of China Artworks. His works participated in the "Glory's Mission - Chinese News and Publishing Industry Painting and Calligraphy Exhibition" which opened on August 23, 2011, at the Museum of the Chinese Revolution and Military History.
