Personal Profile

Wang Chonghu, also known as Chenghui Layman, was born in Nanjing in 1950. He started learning painting at the age of ten, with a solid foundation. He studied under Master Yuanlin, and is proficient in landscapes, flowers and birds, figures, meticulous style, free style, ink painting, color painting, large-scale works and small pieces. He is also skilled in various calligraphic styles. His large characters are primitive and vigorous, while his small characters are elegant and beautiful. His works have been selected for provincial, municipal, and national exhibitions and competitions. He has been employed by the Chinese Calligraphy and Painting Artists' Art Center, China National Painting Academy, Jiangsu Provincial Painting Academy, Jiangsu Province Calligraphy Research Institute, and other art institutions.
