Chen Wumin, inheritor of Zhilai school, style name Yemin, Hu Ming, Shi Tao. A descendant of Wu YunGen, one of the seven famous old artisans, Chen has been passionately interested in Zisha pottery and painting since childhood. After graduating from high school in 1979, he started working in the Zisha industry. In 1981, he studied carving, painting decoration, and shaping techniques under Shao Xinhe, a senior craftsman and disciple of Ren Ganting, one of the seven famous old artisans. He worked hard, practiced calligraphy of masters from different dynasties. In the 1990s, he founded the "Yun Gengxuan" Zisha pottery art production center. He received careful guidance from master artisans such as Wang Yinxian, Lü Yaochen, and Bao Zhiqiang. He diligently studied Zisha art, humbly asked the masters for advice, had high insight, strong innovation ability, and good inspiration. He integrates making teapots, ceramic engraving, sculpture, calligraphy, and painting. He has won many awards in on-site production, competitions, and exhibitions.
