Wan Yongqi, also known as Moyuan Yishi, is from Jiangsu Suzhou, a member of the Chinese Painting and Calligraphy Art Academy, a member of the Oriental Arts天地 in Beijing, and a member of the board of the Henan Nuwa Culture Painting and Calligraphy Institute.
Born in 1962, at the age of 18, he learned traditional Chinese landscape painting under the guidance of teacher Li Gang, and later received guidance from famous artists Zhang Dayuan and You Yuqi.
In 1983, he went to Osaka, Japan with his teacher to hold an individual art exhibition, which received widespread praise, and many of his works were collected.
After decades of persistent efforts, he has carefully studied and explored the techniques and changes in brushwork and ink, and his painting skills have become increasingly exquisite, and his style has become more mature.
To accumulate materials for creation, he has traveled through famous mountains and rivers, drawing the momentum of mountains and waters and the inspiration of heaven and earth. On the path of art, he dares to explore, integrating the essence of classical paintings with modern artistic thinking, and is making unremitting efforts to inherit and promote the national treasure of China.
