Zhao Shaorong

Zhao Shaorong, born in 1961 in Nanjing, graduated from the Department of Fine Arts, Nanjing Institute of Arts, majoring in oil painting. After graduation, he entered the Nanjing Craft Art Industry Company and the Nanjing Craft Carving Factory to engage in ivory carving work. In the fields of painting and sculpture design and production, after nearly forty years of artistic exploration, he has made many contributions to society. His works have participated in national and provincial and municipal art exhibitions, winning awards, and have been published in many art collections and academic research papers. He has accumulated rich life experiences. The author was awarded the title of "Chinese Contemporary Art Master and Outstanding Calligrapher and Painter" by the Chinese Contemporary Art Masters and Outstanding Calligraphers and Painters Committee in 2004. In 2010, a group of twelve Chinese artists was organized to present gifts for the Guangzhou Asian Games, a national key project! In 2010, invited by the China Artists Association, the National Academy of Painting, and the Central United Front Work Department's Document No. 38 of 2010, he presented gifts for the Shanghai World Expo. In April 2017, he was invited by the China Artists Association, the Calligraphers Association, and the China Behavior Law Society to participate in the Chinese Integrity Culture Painting and Calligraphy Exhibition, which was inscribed by President Xi Jinping. His painting works won the award for excellent works. During the early 2000s, the artist participated in the construction of national key projects. During the period when the World Chinese Businessmen Conference was held in Nanjing, he participated in the creation of the Sun Yat-sen sculpture in Nanjing Xinjiekou Square, as well as the model of Zheng He's voyage in the Jianghai Temple Hall of Xianhai Temple in Xiaoguan District. These works are still displayed in the Xianhai Temple in Xiaoguan. Also, his works such as sculptures in the New Fourth Army Memorial Museum on Huaihu Road in Huai'an City. The artist is currently a member of the Board of Directors of the Chinese Traditional Culture Poetry, Calligraphy and Painting Association, a Craftsman of the China Crafts and Arts Association, a member of the Board of Directors of the World Chinese Entrepreneurs Federation, and a member of the Jiangsu Province Aesthetics Society.
