Personal Profile
Li Jun, courtesy name Kuangjian, is from Taizhou, Jiangsu Province. He is currently Vice Chairman of the Jiangsu Association for Bird-and-Flower Painting, a member of the Chinese Calligraphers Association, a member of the Chinese Couplets Association, President of the Taizhou Association for Bird-and-Flower Painting, a member of the Jiangsu Artists Association, and a People's Congress Representative of Taizhou City.
In June 2012, his carving work "No Day Without This Gentleman" was exhibited in the National Carving Art Exhibition;
In January 2014, he served as President of the Taizhou Association for Bird-and-Flower Painting; in September 2014, his carving work "Ancient Ferry with Returning Sails" was exhibited in the 10th National Carving Exhibition;
In November 2014, he participated in the exhibition "The Flowers of Jiangzuo Are in Bloom — Works of the Taizhou Association for Bird-and-Flower Painting" held at the Nanjing Art Gallery;
In March 2015, he participated in the exhibition "Twelve Flower Goddesses — Works of the Taizhou Association for Bird-and-Flower Painting" held at the Yangzhou Jianzhen Art Gallery;
In April 2015, he participated in the exhibition "Twelve Flower Goddesses — Taizhou Bird-and-Flower Painting Works Exhibition in Beijing" held at the Chinese Calligraphy Academy Exhibition Hall;
In April 2016, he was elected Vice Chairman of the Jiangsu Association for Bird-and-Flower Painting;
In May 2016, the exhibition "Endless Purple Realm — Li Jun's Wisteria Painting Exhibition and Jiangsu Taizhou Bird-and-Flower Painting Touring Exhibition" was simultaneously held in the Hunan Provincial Cultural Center and the Art Exhibition Hall. Two of Li Jun's Chinese paintings were collected by the Hunan Provincial Cultural Center;
In September 2016, the work "Wisteria Fan Surface" was collected by former Polish Prime Minister Waldemar Pawlak;
In December 2016, the exhibition "Ink and Carving with Heart — Calligraphy and Carving Painting Exhibition of Chen Hui and Li Jun and the Taizhou Bird-and-Flower Painting Touring Exhibition" was held at the Yaming Art Gallery in Hefei;
In June 2017, his calligraphy and painting works were collected by the Chinese Embassy in Russia; in July 2017, the exhibition "The Auspicious Qi Comes From the East — Li Jun's Calligraphy and Painting Exhibition" was held at the Wu Changshuo Memorial Museum in Shanghai;
In August 2017, the exhibition "Ink and Carving with Heart — Calligraphy, Carving, and Painting Exhibition of Bo Tien To Sen, Wang Zhi'an, and Li Jun" was held at the Japan-China Friendship Association Art Gallery in Tokyo. The work "Auspicious Qi Comes From the East" was collected by the Chinese Embassy in Japan. The work "Purple Clouds" was collected by the Japanese Youth Center;
In October 2017, his calligraphy and painting works were collected by former Japanese Prime Minister Yukio Hatoyama;
In November 2017, he participated in the exhibition "Leon, Spain — Chinese Calligraphy and Carving Art Exhibition" held at the Leon City Hall Art Gallery and the Madrid Prado Museum. The work "Wisteria" was collected by the Leon City Hall and the Confucius Institute respectively;
In March 2018, UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon met Li Jun in Ningbo and collected a wisteria painting cultural creative work;;
In April 2018, Mr. Dominique de Villepin, former Prime Minister of France, attended the Purple Realm Beauty Cultural Creative Art Sharing Session;
In June 2018, Chinese Higher Art Colleges Teaching Model — Li Jun's Chinese Painting Works were published and distributed by Jiangsu People's Publishing House。
