Personal Profile
Liu Loushi, a contemporary emerging calligrapher, is a member of the Chinese Calligraphers Association, a member of the Jiangsu Provincial Calligraphers Association, a member of the Nanjing Calligraphers Association, a director of the Nanjing Youth Calligraphers Association, a director of the Xuanwu District Calligraphers Association, and the head of the Moxiangcaotang Calligraphy Studio. He is a specially appointed calligraphy teacher for the "Calligraphy into Campus" project in primary and secondary schools in Nanjing. Born in 1978 in Dongtai, Jiangsu, he currently works and lives in Nanjing. His calligraphy works have won awards and been exhibited in professional exhibitions organized by the Chinese Calligraphers Association. He has been awarded the Excellent Talent Award of the PLA and was commended for a third-class merit. He studied under renowned calligraphers such as Chen Xuezhi, Chang Hanping, and Xie Shaicheng.
