Wang Jianzhong
Wang Jianzhong was born in Yancheng City, Jiangsu Province in 1964. He has loved painting and photography since childhood, and he painted the backgrounds for a photography studio for ten years. He especially likes to look at various art albums, especially the works of Master Qi Baishi, which he likes even more. He had the fortune to be a student of Guo Jindong, vice president of the Chinese Painting Academy, and systematically studied Chinese painting. His main focus is on fish, shrimp, crabs, and landscapes, following the style of Master Qi Baishi. He often participates in various art exhibitions. On September 23, 2018, at the first Chinese Farmers' Harvest Festival, four of his works were exhibited, with an exhibition period of one month. This exhibition received unanimous praise from leaders at the provincial, municipal, and county levels. On October 17, 2018, which was the traditional Chinese festival of Chongyang, leaders from the provincial, municipal, and county levels visited my place in Funing to view the calligraphy and painting exhibition, and it also received high praise. On October 27, 2018, he participated in the "National Land Cup"廉政 culture (anti-corruption culture) calligraphy, painting, and photography exhibition to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the reform and opening up, which lasted for one and a half months, and received high evaluation from the city and county party secretaries and mayors. In his spare time, he has been studying the brushwork, water, and ink rules of Master Qi Baishi. He humbly asked teacher Guo Jindong for advice, and continuously sought guidance from the founder of the Vast Imageist School, Master Wu Cang'er. He continues to learn from colleagues in the local calligraphy and painting circles. Now, I am the founder and president of the Qi School Calligraphy and Painting Academy, the vice secretary-general of the Vast Imageist Art Thought School Research Association, and a member of the State Guest Gift Artists Association.
