Wang La'sao, born in 1955, is from Dingzhou, and his ancestral home is Youwei Village. His pen name is Shi Tao. From a young age, he has been deeply interested in calligraphy. Since primary school, he has studied calligraphy under the guidance of Teacher Zhang Mengchun. Later, he studied the Cao Quan Stele, Zhang Qian Stele, Li Qi Stele, and Yi Ying Stele with Beijing calligrapher Bai LiuJun. His work has been recognized by Vice Chairman of the Chinese Calligraphers Association, Liu Jinkai, and also received guidance from calligrapher Zhao Heng. He is currently a member of the Dingzhou Calligraphers Association and the Director of the Dingzhou Cultural Relics and Art Museum.
        His workshave bold characters, strict structure, and powerful strokes, which are deeply loved by the public.He has won the third prize in the national small-scale calligraphy competition, his works have been exhibited throughout the province, and have won many awards. His works are collected by collectors at home and abroad.
