 Li Jun, pen name Li Taigu, was born on March 16, 1960, in Wuxi, Jiangnan. He is the third-generation inheritor of the master Qin Guli in Jiangnan. At the age of seven, he became a student of the renowned painter Liu DaJiang, and he is the main disciple of DaJiang, who has inherited DaJiang's true teachings. In the year of Ding Hai, Liu DaJiang gave his disciple Li Jun an elegant nickname, and personally carved two seals, "Jiangnan Li Taigu" and "Li Taigu". His paintings and calligraphy have received high praise and recognition from society. Li Jun has joined many national art associations, and has been appointed as a senior painter in various local art institutes, as well as titles such as first-class artist and consultant. He has researched and created Jiangnan Taihu landscape paintings for more than forty years, and is skilled in creating large-scale Jiangnan Taihu landscapes, thus establishing his own style of landscape painting. Li Jun founded the Contemporary Ink Painting Art Exchange Club in 2000. He is currently the director of the Wuxi Taihu Style Calligraphy and Painting Institute.
