Personal Profile

      Liu Qing was born in 1983, from the hometown of the Chinese landscape painting master Li Keran.

      He is currently a member of the Jiangsu Provincial Youth Calligraphers Association, and a member of the Xuzhou City Calligraphers Association of Jiangsu Province.

      In 2004, his first work "Dancing Colors Benefit Longevity" was included in the book "New Works Exhibition of Chinese Contemporary Painting and Calligraphy", which was written by Shen Peng;


      In January 2005, he was awarded the Outstanding Prize in the first "Leshan Cup" National Literary and Artistic Works Competition, as determined by the judges; in April, he won the Outstanding Prize in the second "Eagle Cup" National Literary and Artistic Works Competition; in June, he was included in the excellent works collection of the second Ou Yangxun Award National Calligraphy Competition - "Selection of Ink Marks of Famous Calligraphers in Contemporary China"; in July, he was awarded the Outstanding Prize in the fifth "Zhongyuan Cup" National Literary Competition, as determined by the judges; in December, he was included in the award-winning works collection "Selected Authentic Works of Contemporary Calligraphers and Painters" and received the Silver Award in the second "Dongting Lake Yueyang Tower Cup" National Painting and Calligraphy Competition;

      In April 2006, he was included in the "Excellent Works Collection of National Painting and Calligraphy Competition on Mao Zedong's Poems" for the 30th anniversary of the death of Comrade Mao Zedong, and received the Silver Award; in December, he was included in the excellent works collection of the second "Huaxia Dragon Cup" National Calligraphy and Seal Carving Competition - "The Classic of the Chinese Dragon", and received the Silver Award after being carefully reviewed by the judges;

      In January-February 2007, he was awarded the Gold Prize in the second National Painting and Calligraphy Competition on Tang Poetry, Song Ci, Yuan Qu, after being carefully and strictly reviewed by the judges, and his work was included in the publication "Exhibition of Treasures of Contemporary Painting and Calligraphy Masters" and permanently collected; in December, he was awarded the Gold Prize in the Plum Blossom, Orchid, Bamboo and Chrysanthemum Painting and Calligraphy Competition, and was included in the excellent works collection "Appreciation of Excellent Works of Plum Blossom, Orchid, Bamboo and Chrysanthemum by Contemporary Painting and Calligraphy Artists" after being carefully reviewed and unanimously approved by the judges;

In 2007, the students' charcoal drawings he coached were awarded the first prize in Tongshan District, Xuzhou City, by the county research office,

In 2009, the students' charcoal drawings he coached were awarded the third prize in Tongshan District, Xuzhou City, by the county research office,

In 2010, the students' charcoal drawings he coached were awarded the first prize in Tongshan District, Xuzhou City, by the district research office

In June 2011, he received the National Second Prize in the 16th National Painting and Calligraphy Competition for Primary and Secondary School Students (Painting), and received the First Prize in the Guidance Work Category;

In June 2012, he held a teacher-student art exhibition in Liujizhen Town, Tongshan District, Xuzhou City;

In December 2012, he received the Second Prize in the "Sunshine Cup" International Youth and Children's Essay and Painting Competition, as determined by the review committee;

On July 21, 2013, he was selected into the "Works Collection of the Fourth Calligraphy and Seal Carving Newcomers Exhibition of Xuzhou City", written by Ma Ya, the chairman of the Xuzhou Calligraphers Association of Jiangsu Province, and was exhibited at the Li Keren Art Museum in Xuzhou, receiving good reviews;

On June 29, 2014, his work "Jinse" received the Excellent Prize in the National Chinese Art Wind Painting, Calligraphy, Oil Painting, and Art Creation Grand Prize; in September, he compiled and wrote the primary and secondary school calligraphy textbook "Middle School Calligraphy"; on October 19, he received the Excellent Prize in the 14th "Lushan Cup" National Painting and Calligraphy Competition;

In June 2015, he received the Excellent Prize in the first "China Yunmen Tianzi Cup" Painting and Calligraphy Exhibition jointly organized by the Chinese National Painting Academy and the Chinese Zen Art Calligraphers Association; on November 25, he participated in the seventh "Guanyinshan Cup" Calligraphy Art Grand Exhibition jointly organized by the Calligraphy Newspaper and the Guanyinshan National Forest Park in Guangdong;

In July 2016, he received the Gold Prize in the "Oriental Beauty" National Poetry, Couplets, Painting and Calligraphy Competition;

In January 2018, he published the calendar "Du Haichang's Painting Works Collection" for the student Du Haichang of Liuji Middle School;

On December 8, 2018, his work was selected into the "11th Chinese Painting and Calligraphy Art Competition" held by the Chinese Painting Competition Network and received the Excellent Prize (Chinese Painting Competition Network);

On December 15, 2018, his participating work received the Third Prize in the 2018 Annual Chinese Painting and Calligraphy Competition, (Contemporary Chinese Painting and Calligraphy Art Network), and was awarded the Third Prize Crystal Cup of the "Chinese Painting and Calligraphy Art Elite Competition".
