Wu Peiyu, (studio name: Bishuyongzhai), male, Han ethnicity, born in March 1957, from Yancheng City, Jiangsu Province. As a child, he loved various books, comic books, etc. In 1992, he graduated from the China Academy of Painting and Calligraphy Correspondence University. He was a disciple of masters such as Liu Ruchang, Zheng Shouhe, Ding Shichang, and Dai Chao.
Now a member of the China Artists Association, a member of the Cultural Market Research Center of the China Academy of Arts and Culture, a member of the China Academy of Painting and Calligraphy Correspondence University, a member of the Yancheng City Art Association of Jiangsu Province, and an Honorary President of the China Dream Network Art Academy.
Wu Peiyu is proficient in painting, Chinese seal carving, and the mounting of Chinese paintings and calligraphy. His specialty is freehand flower-and-bird painting, and he also excels in landscape, meticulous brushwork, and oil painting. He often participates in art exhibitions across the country and has won awards. Some of his works are collected by compatriots in Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan, and art libraries. Yancheng City Television of Jiangsu Province has produced a special report on him. His works are collected by the Mao Zedong Library in Shaoshan. His flower-and-bird and figure paintings have been included in books such as "Compendium of the Remuneration of Famous Chinese Painters, Calligraphers, and Seal Carvers in Contemporary China", "Great Classic of Chinese and Ancient Auspicious and Longevity Works of Painting and Calligraphy", "International Art Masterpieces of the 20th Century", "Classic of Chinese Painting and Calligraphy Collection", "Viewing the Fine Arts of Modern Chinese Painting", "Exhibition of Chinese Artistic Talents' Paintings", and "Selected Paintings of Contemporary Artists."
