Cao Xueyan, style name Qingyang, pseudonym Wushuang, originally named Cao Mingrong, was born in 1984 in a revolutionary family in Taizhou, Jiangsu, with a bachelor's degree,member of the Jiangsu Artists Association.
He has loved painting since childhood. At the age of four, he showed extraordinary talent for painting, often drawing things that looked like the real thing, without any formal training. He has studied at the Advanced Research Class of the Central Academy of Fine Arts, the Chinese Academy of Oil Painting and Sculpture, and the Chinese Academy of Art's Traditional Chinese Painting Landscape Creation Class. In 2010, he established a mural brand. His techniques are broad and comprehensive, with deep accumulation, free and unrestrained, not bound by convention. His painting concept emphasizes the atmosphere and sensory experience, emphasizing both form and meaning. His techniques are not restricted, and he is skilled in using a variety of methods.
