Chen Kai, style name Jiazhao, also known as Fozhao, a Buddhist layman, born in 1969, from Lühe, Nanjing, Jiangsu, engaged in the work of folk painting at the township cultural station in 1990, has been fond of painting and calligraphy since childhood, skilled in seal script, member of the Nanjing Sculpture Association, his folk painting "A Small Scene in the Bamboo Grove" won an award in Hong Kong in 1996, in spring of 2019, his couplet calligraphy won the online popularity award from Renmei University Hall, "Chief Charitable Artist" on Chinese Contemporary Calligraphers and Painters Network, researcher and painter at the Jiangnan Painting and Art Research Institute, won the second prize in the 2018 China's Famous Artists List National Art Competition.
