Liu Zhenyu, from You County, Hunan Province, graduated from the Fine Arts Department of Hunan Normal University. He was a disciple of the nationally renowned oil painter Chen Hexi. He has been deeply influenced by Post-Impressionism and Chinese calligraphy. His works emphasize the integration of Eastern and Western styles, with a style that is simple yet versatile. He is passionate about observing and sketching rural landscapes, focusing on the harmony between the form and content of his paintings. His techniques blend Eastern and Western languages, either unconventional or leisurely. He immerses himself in dialogues and reflections between people and objects, objects and emotions, advocating for the philosophical contemplation that introspection equals life observation. His work "Still Life" won an excellent award at the 8th Hunan Provincial Watercolor Exhibition; "Spring Grass Dream" won an excellent award at the 11th National Fine Arts Exhibition Hunan Area Exhibition, and in 2016, he participated in the "China Dream - Clear Sentiments and Ten Thousand Forms" Master Invitational Exhibition (Beijing) where it received praise from peers and outsiders! The same year, he participated in the Guangzhou International Art Expo and received positive reviews! Works such as "Two Generations of Potted Plants", "Ancient Temple of Lushan", and "Tongdao Autumn Colors" have been collected by collection institutions and collectors! In 2017, the successful auctions of "Moonlight over South Lake" and "Impressions of Hongcun" took place. In 2018, he participated in the Fourth National Oil Painting Masters Dongjiang Lake Sketching. The work "Stone Mountain" was collected.
