Zhou Zheng, styled Muchun, was born in 1957 in Pingxiang City, Jiangxi Province, with ancestral roots in Xiangtan County, Hunan Province. He works at a government agency in Qingyuan City, Guangdong Province. Currently, he is a member of the China Hong Kong Artists Association. Passionate about painting since childhood, after work he often spends his spare time going into the countryside for sketching. His works focus on natural landscapes and local cultural environments, presenting to the world the charming scenery and harmonious human settings of southern rural villages. His oil paintings such as "Summer Harvest," "Grass Blossoms," and "Goose Pond" are vivid and natural, with rich colors full of rustic charm; his ink paintings including "Spring Rain," "Growing Tall," and "Indomitable" are bold and unrestrained, with profound and powerful brushwork and ink expression.
His works have been published in periodicals such as World Knowledge Pictorial and China Friendship Art Exchange News.
In 2013, he was invited to participate in the theme exhibition "Chinese Style, Chinese Dream—Renowned Contemporary Artists Featuring 'Lotus'" at the BeijingMacao Center;
In 2018, he was invited to participate in the "Belt and Road: ASEAN Cultural Exchange Touring Painting and Calligraphy Exhibition."
After decades of study and practice, he has developed his own artistic style. His works have received acclaim from art professionals, extensive media coverage, and are collected by relevant institutions and art enthusiasts both domestically and internationally.
