Li Da, male, styled Meixian Shuwen, an ancient-style hermit, is from Changsha, Hunan Province. He is currently a council member of the China Calligraphy Masters Association, a member of the China Art Masters Association, and a academician of the Beijing Contemporary Academy of Calligraphy and Painting. Li Da has been passionate about calligraphy since childhood, regarding it as a great source of joy and a cherished hobby in his spiritual life. Over the years, he has persistently practiced the masterpieces of renowned calligraphers such as Yan Zhenqing, Wang Xizhi, Sun Guoting, and Huai Su. While absorbing the essence of these ancient masters, he frequently visits and participates in domestic and international calligraphy exhibitions to learn from their finest techniques. His style does not seek strangeness or eccentricity, but instead embraces the natural and effortless beauty of calligraphy—writing with discipline and living with integrity. He has been awarded numerous honors, including the Outstanding Award in the 7th China Calligraphy Competition (2016), the Second Prize in the 8th China Calligraphy Competition (2017), the Third Prize in the World Chinese Calligraphy Competition (2017), the Second Prize in the National Calligraphy and Painting Competition (2017), the Fourth Prize in the 10th China Calligraphy Competition (2017), and the Gold Award in the 3rd "Hanmo Shengshi Cup" National Calligraphy Competition (2018).
