Tian Ge, style name: Renjie, pseudonym: Jieren; formerly known as Tian Yuelong (Yunong), Tian Chuan, Yi Chenglong; pen names: Langsha, Yongge Manbu, etc. A member of the Tujia ethnic group, born on September 8, 1957, in Huayuan County, Hunan Province, China. Holds a university degree.
A lyricist, composer, poet, and painter.
Began working in 1973, successively employed at the county’s educated youth office, agricultural construction corps, and highway paving command center.
Started artistic creation in 1975, apprenticing under several renowned masters to study skills and arts.
Entered higher education in 1978, graduated in 1983 from the Department of Electrical Machinery, then worked at Xinjiang Construction Corps (Regiment 1224). Transferred to work in Hunan in 1987. Later pursued further studies at multiple institutions of higher learning.
Currently a member of the International Writers' Association (ClSAC), World Federation of Chinese Musicians, China Workers’ Musicians Association, Music Copyright Association of China, art and music copyright holder in China, creative associate of the Chinese Academy of Art Creation, First-Class National Painting Artist of China, member of the Chinese Writers Association, member of the Chinese Poetry Friends Association, member of the Chinese Song Fans Association, member of the International Poetry Association, member of the World Chinese Romantic Poetry Society, member of the Hunan Provincial Poetry Association, member of the Xiangxi Prefecture Poetry and Couplet Association, standing director and deputy secretary-general of the Huayuan County Poetry and Couplet Association, and specially appointed writer for numerous art academies and media organizations.
Since beginning his artistic career in 1975, he has won multiple awards in various national competitions. Over one thousand of his works have been published in prominent domestic journals and magazines. More than ten personal collections have been published, including "Tian Ge's Poems and Lyrics," "Six Hundred Rhymes of Scenic Life," "Compendium of Classical Chinese Poetry, Lyrics, and Prose," and "Contemporary Chinese Song Garden." Some of his works have already been collected by individuals both within China and abroad.
