Xia Beizhan, styled Wenhai, also known as Guoyan, and nicknamed the Inkman of Three Xiangs, is from Shaoyang, Hunan Province. He is a National First-Class Art Master, a renowned contemporary Chinese painter and calligrapher, and an educational mentor.
His calligraphy and painting works have won gold and silver awards in dozens of national (international) exhibitions and competitions, and are widely collected by industry professionals, entrepreneurs, collectors, political and cultural figures, professional art institutions, and famous Buddhist sites. He has been honored with the titles of "Most Investment and Collection Value Calligraphy and Painting Master in China's Calligraphy and Painting Market," "People's Artist of the New Era," and "One of the Top 100 Outstanding Artists of the Contemporary Era!" He is a member of the China Calligraphers Association, a specially invited advisor and editorial board member of the China International Exchange Publishing House, vice chairman of the China Calligraphy and Painting Society, a senior registered teacher of the China Calligraphers Association, and chief examiner of the Xia Beizhan Calligraphy and Painting Art Studio examination center for the China Art Grading System.
