Lu Yuan, original name Lu Lixin, master of Gengyun Tang. Currently a council member of the China Calligraphers and Painters Association, Hubei Provincial Calligraphers Association Academic Committee member, National First-Class Calligrapher, member of the Hubei Provincial Couplet Association, Hubei Provincial Art Research Society, Hubei Provincial Artists Association, and Hubei Provincial Collectors Association, full-time calligrapher and painter at Wuhan Academy of Chinese Painting, and instructor at multiple elderly universities, entered the Encyclopedia of Calligraphers and Painters in September 2019.
Published works include Volumes 1–2 of "Lu Yuan's Collection of Calligraphy and Painting," and "Wan Sui Shi Hua Yin Pu." His works have been published in various newspapers, magazines, and professional books such as "Masterpieces of Contemporary Chinese Literati Calligraphy and Painting" and "Comprehensive Anthology of Chinese Folk Art: Famous Figures."
Achievements and Honors In 2007, "Four Varieties of the Wine God" won the "International Creative Gold Award" at the 10th "World Chinese Art Convention" in Hong Kong. In 2008, he won second place in the First China Seal Script Competition in Shanghai. In the same year, his calligraphy work "The Great River Flows East" was engraved on the 2008 Olympic Monument in Beijing, and he was awarded the title "Chinese Figure" and the Gold Award for the work. In 2009, his monumental calligraphy piece "Spirit of the Police," measuring 8.6 meters in length and 4.2 meters in width, was permanently collected by Hubei Police College. In 2010, his work "Wan Sui Shi Hua Yin Pu" was stamped onto the Shanghai Guinness World Record-long scroll "One Hundred Longevity Elders," and permanently exhibited at the Zhongxiang Museum. In 2011, he was the producer and executor of over 80 wooden plaque carvings in the ancient residential area of Dayuwan, Huangpi. In 2012, nearly forty calligraphy and painting works were permanently collected aboard China's first aircraft carrier. In 2013, his calligraphy works were permanently collected by the organizing committee of the 2nd International Martial Arts Expo in St. Petersburg, Russia; six calligraphy and painting pieces were invited to participate in the "14th China Master of Arts and Crafts Exhibition & International Art Masterpieces Expo."
