Personal Profile
Ming Pingwen, male, from Xianning City, Hubei Province, born in 1950. Currently a Senior Academician of the China Academy of Calligraphy and Painting, President of the Hubei Branch of the China Calligraphy and Painting Education Society, Senior Registered Teacher of the China Calligraphers Association, Member of the China Calligraphy and Painting Artists Association, and President of Jiugong Academy.
He taught for 11 years and served as the legal representative of a state-owned enterprise for 5 years. After the enterprise reform, he registered a stone company in Shanghai, engaging in the business of domestic and imported stone. He also serves as the Party Branch Secretary of the Hubei Tongshan Chamber of Commerce in Shanghai and concurrently as Secretary-General. His calligraphy works have been collected by institutions such as the China Academy of Calligraphy and Painting, Renmin University of China, and the China Calligraphy and Painting Art Education Society. He has received honors including first and second prizes in the soft and hard pen calligraphy competitions organized by the China Calligraphy and Painting Art Education Society, as well as the Best Work Award from the Lanting Calligraphy and Painting Academy.
