Yang Chengyi (Yi Mo Zui), from Hubei Province, was born in the 1960s. He is a powerful painter who has studied at the Hubei Academy of Fine Arts and the Academy of Arts & Design, Tsinghua University. He is a member of the Hubei Artists Association, the president of the China Xijiang Painting Academy, and an outstanding contemporary Chinese landscape artist.
Since childhood, he has been passionate about art. Due to his love for landscapes, he has visited the Three Gorges many times for sketching. His works have won numerous national awards and have been collected by friends from Japan, Singapore, Malaysia, and Taiwan.
"The Canyon People" won the 9th Contemporary Chinese Landscape Painting Excellence Award in 2019 and was awarded the title of Outstanding Contemporary Chinese Landscape Artist by the Central Propaganda Department and the 200-strong list.
"Landscape Sympathy" participated in the "Cao Yu's Hometown, Beautiful Qianjiang" exhibition in 2019 to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the founding of New China.
"Deep Mountain Households" was exhibited in the Dama Hanchuan Art Exhibition in 2019.
"Mountain Intention" won the Most Popular Calligraphy and Painting Work Award in 2015.
"Pulse" won the Second Prize in the 2016 Global Overseas Chinese Calligraphy and Painting Competition.
"Autumn Color韵 Dam" won the Second Prize in the 2017 Re-tracing the Yangtze River Chinese Painting Competition.
In 2019, the "Great Journey, Chinese Revival", celebrating the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China, which is known as the "national card", included and published the "China Post Album".
