Personal Profile

Yang Yongzhong, male, Han ethnicity, born in 1954 in Baishazhou, Hongshan District, Wuhan City, Hubei Province. Originally engaged in technical work in an enterprise, holding the title of engineer with a junior college degree. Has been passionate about calligraphy since childhood, with decades of experience. Currently a member of the Chinese Hard-Pen Calligraphy Association. Awarded Second Prize in Calligraphy at the 9th Xizhi Cup National Poetry, Painting and Calligraphy Invitational Competition; First Prize in Calligraphy at the 2018 Langya Cup National Poetry, Painting and Calligraphy Elite Competition; First Prize in Calligraphy at the 2018 National Poetry, Painting and Calligraphy Creation Annual Conference; Excellent Award in Calligraphy at the Yipintang National Calligraphy and Seal Carving Competition; Excellent Award in Calligraphy at the “Silk Road Blossoms, Era’s Breeze” National Calligraphy Competition Celebrating the 40th Anniversary of Reform and Opening-up. In 2019, awarded First Prize in Calligraphy at the 10th Xizhi Cup Contemporary Poetry, Painting and Calligraphy Invitational Competition; included in the Representative Works Library of Contemporary Chinese Writers and Artists and awarded First Prize in Calligraphy; Gold Award in Calligraphy at the 2nd New Era National Poetry, Painting, Calligraphy and Seal Competition; First Prize in Calligraphy at the 2019 National Poetry, Painting and Calligraphy Creation Annual Conference; Third Prize in Calligraphy at the 2nd 2019 Langya Cup Contemporary Poetry, Painting and Calligraphy Elite Competition; recognized as National Outstanding Calligraphy Teacher in the 2019 Teachers’ Day National Fine Arts Education and Training Industry Evaluation; awarded Third Prize in Calligraphy in the 2019 China Good Brand Influence Art Figures Selection Activity. In 2020, his representative calligraphy work was awarded Special Prize and included in the “Golden List Collection of Chinese Poetry, Literature and Calligraphy Artists” (2020 Edition), and was conferred the honorary title of “Model Figure of Chinese Poetry, Literature and Calligraphy Artist.” In 2020, awarded First Prize in Calligraphy at the 7th “Charming Beijing” National Literature and Art Competition; Third Prize in Calligraphy at the 11th Xizhi Cup National Poetry, Painting and Calligraphy Invitational Competition.
