 Professor Mei Zhigang, born in 1955, Han ethnicity, from Wuhan, Hubei Province; graduated from the Fine Arts Department of Henan University and the Administrative Management Department of Hubei University. He serves as Executive Dean and Professor of the College of Cultural Arts and Media at Beijing International College of Economics and Trade. National First-Class Artist, National First-Class Calligrapher, National Gift Calligraphy and Painting Artist, Executive Vice President of Tianci Moyuan International Calligraphy and Painting Academy, Art Director and Professor of Beijing Shengyuan International Cultural Media Center, and Consultant of Qinghai Lanting Calligraphy and Painting Academy.        In the 1970s, he studied under the renowned painters Master Li Keran and Master Huang Zhou, as well as teachers Lyu Shengyi and Zeng Zhongtao. He has published more than ten fine art works through national-level publishing houses and won the Second Prize in the National Fine Arts Teaching Competition in 1988. His fine art and calligraphy works have repeatedly received Outstanding Work Awards in national teacher art exhibitions. In recent years, he has participated several times in public auction events organized by the China Children and Teenagers' Foundation and the China Foundation for Persons with Disabilities. His fine art and calligraphy works have received widespread acclaim.
