  Jiang Wei, self-styled as Zijing Shanren, has been passionate about calligraphy since childhood, specializing in regular, running, and clerical scripts. Later, he received instruction from Master Dai Changhong, a direct disciple of Qi Liangchi (fourth son of Qi Baishi) and a member of the China Calligraphers Association, beginning to extensively copy famous ancient steles and brushwork exemplars, firmly rooted in tradition, with particular fondness for Han Dynasty clerical script and Sun Guoting’s Treatise on Calligraphy. In 1991, he won the First Prize in the National Steel-Pen Calligraphy Competition.   He has attended multiple training courses organized by the Shandong Provincial Calligraphers Association and graduated from the Third Advanced Calligraphy Research Class of the Shandong Calligraphers Association. He is currently a member of the Shandong Provincial Calligraphers Association, a Council Member of the Fourth Session of the China Hard-Pen Calligraphers Association, and a Council Member of the Qingdao Pingdu City Calligraphers Association.
