Li Aofeng, Hui ethnic group, was born in Xiangcheng, Henan, China, a renowned realist ceramic painter and the first professional scholar specializing in the crafting of xun (ancient Chinese clay flute) in Jingdezhen. He has studied painting and ancient xun-making since childhood, learning from numerous masters. He excels in all themes of ceramic art—including flowers and birds, figures, landscapes, animals, and scenery—and is adept at various styles. His works are lifelike, elegant in tone, and rich in profound artistic conception, sometimes gentle and refined, sometimes graceful and scholarly, sometimes bold and vigorous, sometimes expansive and free-spirited, evoking the imagery of high mountains and flowing streams or the purity of spring snow. His works have earned widespread admiration and praise from society and the broader art community. His creations are exported to Taiwan, Japan, and Malaysia, with some pieces collected by private collectors and museums.
