Wang Yunzhuang, from Shangqiu, Henan. World Class Master of Art, China Class One Calligrapher and Painter, China Class One Author, United Nations Ambassador for Chinese Cultural Transmission, China-UK Cultural Exchange Image Ambassador, National Image Ambassador, Honorary Doctor of the Royal Swedish Academy of Arts, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Art, Special Senior Researcher of the Chinese Traditional Culture Professional Committee, China National Gift Art Artist, and serves as Expert Member, Chief Artist, and Executive Committee Member of the Art Committee of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization; Vice Chairman of the World Education, Science and Technology Organization Federation; Honorary Chairman of the China Calligraphy and Painting Artists Association; Vice Chairman of the China Sinology Society; Vice President of the China Collectors Association; Honorary Chairman of the Beijing Dawei Calligraphy and Painting Academy, among other positions. His works, including the "Hundred Longevity Characters," "Thousand Longevity Characters," "Infinite Blessings and Longevity," and "Blessings, Prosperity, Longevity, and Joy," have been collected by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization and presented as gifts by the Henan Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China to foreign and national leaders and guests from home and abroad; numerous works have been collected by major cultural institutions.
He has been dubbed by the media as "Shenzhou Wan Shou Wang" and holds a Guinness World Record. He has published "Illustrated Catalogue of Chinese Wan Shou Characters," "Chinese Longevity Culture," "Five Thousand Years of Chinese Longevity Characters" (hardcover, two volumes), "The Chinese Dragon" (hardcover, two volumes), as well as "Special Collection of Wang Yunzhuang: Masters and Celebrities," "National Gift Art: Wang Yunzhuang Special Collection," "Glory of China: Collectible Works of Lifetime Achievement Artists" (two-person anthology), "Three Great Masters of People's Art," "Biographies of Four Great Masters of New China Sinology Art," "Five Great Masters of Chinese Art," "Six Major News Figures in New China Calligraphy and Painting," "Eight-Person Collection of Teaching Materials for Chinese Calligraphy and Painting Masters," "Ten-Person Collection of National Image Ambassadors," "Ten-Person Collection of Contemporary Masters of Chinese Calligraphy and Painting Schools," "Ten-Person Collection of National Treasure-Level Art Masters of a Century of China," "Top Ten Figures in the Chinese Art Circle," and other major reference works, and has been awarded the China Writing Golden Pen Award; his calligraphy and painting works have been repeatedly invited to participate in domestic and international exhibitions, winning the "7th China Cultural Arts Government Award: 'Wenhua Award' for Best Creation," the "1949-2009 National Art Works National Treasure Award and Personal Gold Medal, permanently archived in the National Honors Records," the "China Second Cultural Award: World Peace Gold Medal," and was awarded the 2015 "People's Art Merit" Top Ten Figures Award in the Chinese Cultural and Artistic Community, and the 2016 10th China International Arts Festival "Golden Monkey Award" for Lifetime Achievement (shared with Fan Zeng from the Chinese region).
