 Chen Xinhua, born in 1963, is from Zhoukou, Henan Province, and a member of the Henan Provincial Calligraphers Association. He currently works at the Xiangfu District Public Security Bureau in Kaifeng City. From an early age, he has had a deep passion for calligraphy art. He studied the styles of "Er Wang" (Wang Xizhi and Wang Xianzhi) to capture their classical elegance and grandeur, and learned from "Yan Zhenqing and Liu Gongquan" to absorb their balance of strength and grace. In middle age, he focused specifically on clerical script, persisting with dedication and gradually developing his own distinctive style. His calligraphy draws from ancient models with precise strokes, rational composition, and appropriate structure, offering viewers a feeling of graceful elegance and visual delight. His work reflects both the lifelike spirit of contemporary master calligrapher Wang Xiangzhi and reveals a free-spirited pursuit beyond conventional forms.
      
Chen Xinhua’s calligraphic creation features two prominent characteristics. First is his principle of “learning from antiquity without being bound by it”—innovating within tradition and carrying forward heritage through innovation. His brushwork is both disciplined and expressive, drawing widely from various masters, with powerful strokes revealing solid foundational skills and a unique personal rhythm. Second is his pursuit of harmonious perfection between form and content. Every piece he creates is carefully designed in terms of brush movement, technique, structure, and layout. His mastery of composition, elegance of line, and strong individuality are impressive, endowing his works with high aesthetic value and visual appeal.
