Wang Fengli, male, styled Ruiting, art name Xiangyi Mingyue. Born in July 1957 in Suixian, Henan Province, transferred to Kaifeng from military service in 1987, with a university education. Began military service at a young age and studied under the military calligrapher Mr. Bai Dongcai. For decades of wind and rain, he has never ceased practicing calligraphy, drawing from ancient masters without being bound by tradition. He absorbs the styles of renowned teachers and integrates the strengths of numerous schools, persisting with unwavering dedication. He is the author of the long-form rural novel How Many Times the Peach Blossoms Turn Red and theoretical articles such as A Preliminary Exploration of Company Clerk Work. His works have been included in the Chinese Calligraphers and Painters Dictionary and have won multiple awards in national and provincial calligraphy and painting competitions. Current positions: Vice Chairman of the Chinese Mao-style Calligraphy Artists Association, Standing Director of the Chinese Calligraphers and Painters Association, Academician of the Chinese National Gift Planning and Research Institute, Director of the Kaifeng Changxuan Calligraphy and Painting Academy.
