Qin Jianping, male, Han ethnicity, born in 1964, is from Luoshan County, Henan Province. He is a disciple of the renowned calligrapher and painter Mr. Zheng Bohua and currently serves as Vice President of the Xia Li Ba Ren Institute of Calligraphy and Painting. He is also a member of the World Chinese Calligraphers and Painters Association. He firmly believes that calligraphy is the best form of sketching. Since childhood, he has been fond of painting, and through diligent practice, he has developed his own unique painting techniques. His works, though small in scale, feature rigorous and orderly compositions, with free and elegant brushwork and ink application, allowing viewers to experience the essence of traditional Chinese painting: principles giving rise to methods, and brushstrokes flowing freely with emotion. He specializes in plum blossoms, and is also skilled in orchids and bamboo, particularly excelling in eagles and birds. Drawing on the strengths of various masters, he innovatively transforms traditional brush and ink techniques while emphasizing direct observation of nature as a source of inspiration. His compositions are novel, especially employing the cropping technique to convey profound atmospheres through close-up scenes. His brushwork is delicate, fluid, and spirited, brimming with vitality. His floral and bird paintings, as well as orchids and bamboo, defy conventional norms and exhibit strong individuality.
