Su Sheng, courtesy name Lan Yun, male, Han ethnicity, born in 1960 in Kaifeng City, Henan Province. Currently a member of the Kaifeng Artists Association, standing director of the Kaifeng Elderly Artists Association, vice president of the China Calligraphy and Painting Academy's Xuan Art Institute, vice president of the Kaifeng Chengluocheng Calligraphy and Painting Institute, vice president of the Kaifeng Mingcheng Calligraphy and Painting Institute, art consultant for Kaifeng’s education system, standing director of the Henan Calligraphy and Painting Professional Committee, researcher at the Henan Miyuan Calligraphy and Painting Academy, academician of the Henan People's Promotion Association Calligraphy and Painting Research Institute, member of the China Calligraphers and Painters Association, and executive president of the National Subhealth Academic Committee Calligraphy and Painting Academy.
Since childhood, he has had a deep passion for painting, frequently spending his spare time reading and studying renowned artists’ works and their critiques. He actively participates in brush gatherings organized by provincial and municipal authorities, absorbing the strengths of others, while also drawing inspiration from nature through plein-air sketching at famous scenic sites such as the Three Gorges, Taihang Mountains, Huangshan, and Mount Tai. Throughout his long artistic journey, he emphasizes theoretical study and practical practice, persistently creating without ceasing. Particularly devoted to studying and emulating outstanding landscape paintings from ancient and modern times, he has gradually developed his own distinctive artistic style—fresh, elegant, grand yet natural, with boundless vitality. Participation in Activities: 1. In 2010, "Lotus" and "Breeze" both won first prizes in the Provincial and Municipal Anti-Corruption Calligraphy and Painting Exhibition; 2. In 2011, "Autumn Rhythm" was featured on the back cover of the Municipal Discipline Inspection Magazine; 3. In 2012, "Sentiment of the Three Gorges" won first prize in the Citywide Anti-Corruption Calligraphy and Painting Exhibition; 4. In 2013, "Mist and Clouds over the Gorge River" was exhibited in the "Charming China: Exhibition of Masterpieces by Renowned Calligraphers and Painters" and collected by the Organizing Committee of the China Secretarial Science Forum; 5. In 2015, participated in the "20th Henan Province New Artists, New Works Exhibition" organized by the Henan Artists Association, receiving an Outstanding Award; 6. In 2015, "Thousand Li of Jialing River" was selected for the 14th Henan Province Chinese Painting Art Exhibition. 7. In 2016, participated in the "21st Henan Province New Artists, New Works Exhibition" organized by the Henan Artists Association; "Snowy Taihang" received an Outstanding Award.
