Personal Profile

Zhao Dianwei, male, born in July 1974 in Henan Province, Luoyang City, Ruyang County, Caidian Township, Mangzhuang Village Member of China Folk Artists Association, Vice President of the Aesthetic School Paper-cutting Association. The only out-of-province member of the Jinhua City Paper-cutting Association in Zhejiang Province. Heir to a paper-cutting family tradition, inheritor of Luoyang paper-cutting intangible cultural heritage. In 2006, he became a disciple of Wang Feng, the first master of paper-cutting in Jinhua, Zhejiang (now 97 years old). In 2009, he graduated from the Jinhua Elderly University (Paper-cutting Department). In 2016, he became a direct disciple of Tao Zheng, founder of the Aesthetic School of paper-cutting. His works have won numerous awards in national competitions. Many pieces have been collected by museums both domestically and internationally.
