Chen Zhihua, male, Han nationality, from Chenzhou, born in August 1955, bachelor’s degree, studio name Tingyu Xuan, graduated from the China Calligraphy and Painting Correspondence University, Xuchang Branch, calligraphy major.
Currently a member of the Henan Provincial Calligraphers Association, Henan Province Chinese Calligraphy and Painting Artists Association member, council member of the Zhoukou City Calligraphers Association, secretary-general of the Running Script Professional Committee of the Zhoukou City Calligraphers Association, honorary chairman of the Huaiyang County Calligraphers Association, specially hired calligrapher of the Zhoukou City Guofeng Culture and Art Center, vice president of the Zhoukou City Calligraphy Academy, deputy executive vice president and secretary-general of the Henan Province Zhoukou City General's Calligraphy and Painting Academy.
His calligraphy works have won the Silver Award at the National "Tengwang Pavilion Cup" Calligraphy and Painting Competition, the Gold Award at the 2nd National "Huaxia Qing" Calligraphy and Painting Art Competition, the Gold Award at the First National Senior Calligraphers Calligraphy and Painting Competition, the Silver Award at the Shanghai International Senior Calligraphy and Painting Grand Prix, the Red Art Gold Award at the Memorial Exhibition for the 115th Anniversary of Mao Zedong’s Birth, the Gold Award at the Chinese Calligraphy and Painting Artists Exhibition commemorating the 110th Anniversary of Liu Shaoqi’s Birth, the Award at the 15th and 16th Calligraphy Exhibitions of the Henan Provincial Calligraphers Association, the Second Prize at the Henan Province "Yaxing Cup" Provincial Civil Servants and Technical Personnel Calligraphy and Painting Grand Prix, selected for the Zhengzhou Temple Festival Cultural Event in Henan Province. The Chenzhou "Three Emperors Cup" Beijing, Chenzhou, Hunan Three-Region Joint Exhibition Gold Award; 2014 Shenzhen, Chengdu, Huaiyang Joint Exhibition Gold Award; in April 2015, at the Hongrui Spring Central Culture Network Zhoukou City Online Calligraphy and Painting Public Welfare Activity, received the Special Contribution Award; in July 2015, the Special Prize at the Beijing Tongzhou-Chenzhou Calligraphy and Painting Joint Exhibition; in May 2015, published the Collection of Chen Zhihua’s Calligraphy Works; in November 2015, representing the Zhoukou City Guofeng Art Gallery, participated in the calligraphy and painting exchange meeting in Huangshan City and Fuyang City, Anhui Province, receiving high praise from peers; in June 2016, Third Prize at the Municipal “Double Hundred” Calligraphy and Photography Exhibition; Second Prize at the Zhoukou City 2018 Reform and Opening-up 40th Anniversary Calligraphy Exhibition; Gold Award at the Zhoukou City Daguang Cup and Dishen Cup. In 2016–2018, his works were selected twice for the China-Korea Calligraphy and Painting Exchange Exhibition and awarded special honors. His works have been published multiple times in domestic and international newspapers and magazines and have been exhibited in numerous large-scale calligraphy and painting exhibitions across the country. His works are highly acclaimed by the calligraphy and painting art community and beloved by the public.
