   Wang Lianghai, styled Shiqing, also known as the inhabitant of Wutong Studio, was born into a scholarly family and graduated as a member of the first cohort of the China Calligraphy and Painting Correspondence University. He is currently a member of the China Central Organs Artists Association, the China Elderly Calligraphy and Painting Association, a member of the Henan Provincial Artists Association, a council member of the Dabie Mountain Calligraphy and Painting Academy of Henan, a member of the Jiaozuo City Artists Association, a member of the Jiaozuo City Calligraphy and Painting Appraisal Association, vice chairman of the ShanYang District Artists Association of Jiaozuo, and vice president of the Huishu Calligraphy and Painting Academy of Jiaozuo, recognized as a master artist. Since childhood, he has studied ancient calligraphy and painting, possessing profound foundational skills in traditional landscape painting with the elegance of the Song and Ming dynasties. Later, he became a disciple of Wang Chengxi in plum blossom painting. In 1986, his landscape painting "Cangshan Wanhe Tu" won the second prize at the Five-Province Exhibition of the Yellow River Region. In 1989, his flower-and-bird painting "Plum and Magpie Competing for Spring" won the third prize at the Shaanxi Provincial Young Artists Exhibition. On December 26, 2016, he was invited by the organizing committee to commemorate the 123rd anniversary of Chairman Mao Zedong’s birth, and his seven-meter-long scroll "Pine and Plum Diagram" was permanently collected by the Beijing Golden Hall Organizing Committee. In 2017, his flower-and-bird painting "Three Friends in Winter" won the first prize in the Jiaozuo City Library's "Jiaozuo Tuyuan Cup" exhibition celebrating the July 1st Anniversary, and was permanently collected by the Jiaozuo City Library. Some of his works have been featured in major publications and are collected by individuals both domestically and internationally.
