Personal Profile
Ma Guangxin, Henan Luoyang native,Communist Party member, graduate of Henan University, senior middle school teacher, former principal of a middle school, formerly served as principal of Luoyang Minsheng Middle School and Luoyang Mudan Art School.
Currently vice president of the Gu Bo Xi Zhi Calligraphy and Painting Research Institute and president of the Shiyang Calligraphy and Painting Research Institute.
During my tenure, in addition to fulfilling my teaching and administrative duties, I devoted myself to the study of calligraphy art and consistently practiced writing. After retirement, I focused on studying the running script of Wang Xizhi and Wang Xianzhi, the regular script of Yan Zhenqing, and the clerical script of the Han Dynasty's Zhang Qian Stele. The running script of the Two Wangs is elegant and fluid, naturally exquisite; Yan Zhenqing’s regular script is vigorous and substantial; the clerical script of the Zhang Qian Stele is ancient, simple, robust, and romantic. I have earnestly studied the characteristics and brush techniques of these steles and calligraphy models, diligently practicing and gradually developing my own style—free and unrestrained, with smooth brushwork, rigorous structure, powerful and unrestrained strokes, graceful and dynamic postures, majestic and grand in scale, blending strength and gentleness.My calligraphy works have been exhibited three times in the Henan Province Mass Calligraphy Exhibition, winning an Excellence Award, and have been repeatedly selected in calligraphy competitions at various levels. My works have been collected by renowned individuals both domestically and internationally, as well as by numerous calligraphy and painting institutes, organizations, and private collectors.
