Personal Profile

Li Shaojing, originally named Li Qing'an, was born in 1958 and is originally from Tangyin County, Henan Province. He settled in Anyang City in 1979. He is currently a member of the China Calligraphers and Painters Association, a National First-Class Artist, an art consultant for Oriental Art Universe, a member of the China Hard-Pen Calligraphy Association, a member of the Henan Calligraphy and Painting Association, a academician of the Beijing Renhe Calligraphy and Painting Academy, a member of provincial and municipal calligraphy associations, and vice president of the Henan Ethnic Enterprises Promotion Association Calligraphy and Painting Academy. He has obtained a senior calligraphy and painting education qualification certificate from the Ministry of Education of China. Since childhood, he has followed his family's teachings of farming and reading, and has been deeply passionate about calligraphy and painting, with his brushwork radiating brilliance. For decades, he has diligently practiced at his inkstone, humbly seeking guidance from the renowned calligrapher Sha Jinliang, diligently studying and copying various stele rubbings, with in-depth research into the styles of Ouyang, Liu, Zhao, and especially a deep affection for Kang's style. He has participated in numerous domestic and international calligraphy and painting exhibitions and won many honors.
Awards received: Gold Medal at the Hunan Provincial Changsha City Commemorative Exhibition for the 100th Anniversary of Deng Xiaoping's Birth; Excellent Award at the 20th and 23rd Henan Provincial Mass Calligraphy and Painting Exhibitions; Excellent Award at the 4th Spring Festival Calligraphy and Painting Exhibition hosted by the Central Calligraphy and Painting Channel in 2014; Gold Medal at the Nanjing National Calligraphy and Painting Exhibition commemorating the 65th Anniversary of the Founding of the People's Republic of China; Gold Medal from the Henan Dahua Calligraphy and Painting Academy, among others.
