Li Xitao, male, courtesy name Jianghe, art name Qinyuan Old Man; born in 1950, university educated, from Jiyuan City, Henan Province. Member of the China Calligraphers Association, Honorary Vice Chairman of the China Calligraphy and Painting Artists Association, National First-Class Calligrapher, Director of the Qinyuanchun Calligraphy and Painting Academy in Jiyuan City, Henan. Since childhood, Xitao has been fond of calligraphy, seeking instruction from numerous renowned masters. For over fifty years, he has persistently practiced without interruption, absorbing the essence of millennia-old traditional calligraphy art, studying steles and rubbings of famous masters throughout history, and gradually reaching an exquisite level of skill. In 2016, the Jiyuan City Federation of Literary and Art Circles and the Calligraphers Association hosted a large-scale exhibition titled "Celebrating May Day: Li Xitao's Calligraphy Art Exhibition" for Mr. Li. The China Calligraphy and Painting Magazine published a special issue titled "Li Xitao's Calligraphy Art." In 2017, he completed compiling "Li Xitao's Regular Script Copybook in the Style of Ouyang Xun" and "Li Xitao's Regular Script Copybook in the Style of Yan Zhenqing." Mr. Li Xitao has been selected or awarded in dozens of national and provincial calligraphy exhibitions, and his achievements have been included in more than ten publications such as "National Calligraphy and Painting Masterpieces Exhibition" and "Chinese Calligraphy and Painting Masters Collection." Many of Mr. Li's works are collected by calligraphy enthusiasts across the country.
