Li Zhengyang, also known as BiJiaShan Ren, Xiangyang, and Lao Mi, is a native of Du Fu's hometown (formerly Gongxian, Henan Province). He is a professional painter and calligrapher of the People's Academy of Painting and Calligraphy, a member of the China Association of Painting and Calligraphy Artists, a National First-Class Artist, a specially invited artist of Henan Television, and a Chinese Influential Painter.
Li Zhengyang of the People's Academy of Painting and Calligraphy, also known as BiJiaShan Ren, Xiangyang, and Lao Mi, is a native of Du Fu's hometown (formerly Gongxian, Henan Province). During the 1950s and 1960s, his father worked in education at the county level, and his mother taught in primary and secondary schools in their hometown. Influenced by them, Mr. Li developed a deep passion for calligraphy and painting from an early age, particularly favoring the styles of Zhang Xu and Huai Su, and holding a special fondness for Mao Zedong's wild cursive script. For over four decades, he has persistently practiced, producing calligraphy that flows like clouds and water, with majestic momentum. Simultaneously pursuing both painting and calligraphy, he draws inspiration from masters throughout history, employing bold brushwork and expressive ink splashes to achieve unique effects. His work has received unanimous praise from many renowned Chinese painters and calligraphers. His artworks have been collected by international friends from the United States, Japan, South Korea, Nigeria, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore, Australia, and other regions. Li Zhengyang currently serves as a professional painter and calligrapher of the "People's Academy of Painting and Calligraphy," a member of the China Association of Painting and Calligraphy Artists, a National First-Class Artist, Chairman of the "Shanghai" Branch of the World Federation of Painting and Calligraphy Artists, and President of the "Shanghai" Branch of the World Chinese Art Academy, among other positions. He is also a specially invited artist of Henan Television and was honored as a 2017 China Good Brand ☆ Influential Painter.
