Zhao Bingjie, male, Han ethnicity, was born on March 5, 1968, in Zhengzhou, Henan Province. He is currently a member of the China Minsheng Academy of Calligraphy and Painting and a member of the Zhengzhou Calligraphers Association. Since childhood, he has been passionate about calligraphy, extensively practicing the styles of renowned masters. He has won numerous awards and been selected for exhibitions at national, provincial, and municipal levels, and frequently participates in public welfare and charitable activities, showing concern for social livelihood.
Zhao Bingjie received guidance from the renowned calligrapher Master Huang Juzheng and furthered his studies in 2014 at the Henan Calligraphers Association training program, where he was taught by distinguished masters such as Mi Nao, Jiang Baoping, Liu Yantao, Lou Hongwei, Xue Minghui, and Xue Dangjun. He is currently studying Wei stele script under the tutelage of the famous Chinese calligrapher Song Deshan.
Zhao Bingjie’s Wei stele script features mature, robust, and powerful brushwork, with a force that penetrates the paper—possessing the strength of chiseled stone inscriptions while retaining flexibility and charm.
In 2014, his work was selected for the 23rd Henan Provincial Mass Calligraphy Exhibition, hosted by the Henan Calligraphers Association.
In July 2017, he won the Second Prize in the "Celebrating the 19th National Congress of the CPC · 2017 First Central Plains Calligraphy and Painting Masterpieces Exhibition."
In October 2017, he received the Outstanding Award in the first "China-Australia Twin Cities Calligraphy and Painting Exhibition" held in Jucheng-Melbourne.
In November 2017, he won the Third Prize in the "Zhang Zeduan" Cup Online Calligraphy and Painting Competition.
In January 2018, he won the Gold Award in the National Lanting Cup Calligraphy and Painting Competition.
In May 2018, he was appointed as a specially invited calligraphy and painting artist by the "Beautiful Home" column of Henan Radio and Television Station.
In June 2018, his work was selected for the 27th Henan Provincial Mass Calligraphy Exhibition.
On June 17, 2018, he won the championship in the calligraphy and painting competition of the Henan Television Legal Channel program "Wen Wu Jue."
