Fang Xingfei, male, born in 1990, native of Xuchang City, Henan Province, master of Naxian Studio, currently an academician of the Beijing Academy of Contemporary Calligraphy and Painting, member of Xuchang Calligraphers Association, member of Henan Provincial Calligraphers Association, member of China Mao-style Calligraphers Association, member of China Bangshu Calligraphers Association, National First-Class Calligrapher. In the calligraphy exhibition celebrating the 40th anniversary of China's reform and opening-up from 1978 to 2018, he was honored as "Leading Figure of Contemporary Chinese Calligraphy Art" and "Celebrity on China Philatelic List". He has loved calligraphy since childhood, immersed in the ocean of calligraphic learning, diligently studying the styles of renowned masters such as Wang Xizhi and Wang Xianzhi, practicing continuously at his desk for over twenty years with persistent pursuit, building profound skills in brushwork and ink. Drawing nourishment from ancient and modern masters, he researches the techniques of running script and cursive script, accumulates materials from life, seeks innovation from tradition, and practices countless hours. After long-term contemplation and hard practice, he has deeply comprehended the subtleties of brush techniques. His brushwork is steady, calm, and elegant, forming meaningful expressions upon paper, with rich and fluent ink, strong bone structure, combining strength within softness, and displaying graceful posture.In his early years, he practiced regular script by copying Liu Gongquan, Ouyang Xun, Su Dongpo, and others. Later, he deeply studied running script, mastering the brush techniques of various schools including Wang Xizhi, Zhao Mengfu, Mi Fu, and other famous masters. Through years of diligent study and unremitting practice, reviewing countless calligraphy models, he has absorbed the strengths of many schools and made them his own. His works flow like clouds and water, appear solemn and generous, combine strength within gentleness, exhibit broad momentum and unique style. They possess high aesthetic value, are widely collected by enthusiasts, and have received high acclaim. His domestic market price is RMB 2,000 per square chi, and his international market price is USD 300 per square chi.
