Personal Profile

Yuan Guangzhi, born on April 17, 1953, is from Henan Kaifeng.Member of Kaifeng Calligraphers Association and Kaifeng New District Calligraphers Association; National First-Class Calligrapher.In 2012, he enrolled in the Running Script Special Class at Kaifeng Senior Cadres University and graduated in 2015.He has participated in multiple provincial and municipal calligraphy exhibitions and received unanimous praise from experts. Passionate about calligraphy since childhood, during his studies he received meticulous instruction from calligraphy masters Yang Junmei, Zheng Zhiqiang, Xu Yunfei, Shao Xiaowu, Ji Yihai, and Yue Bangjun. He has successively practiced copying Chu Suiliang’s regular script “Preface to the Sacred Teachings” and “Yinfu Jing,” Wang Xizhi’s “Preface to the Sacred Teachings,” “Preface to the Orchid Pavilion,” “Seventeen Posts,” Sun Guoting’s “Calligraphy Manual,” Huai Su’s “Autobiographical Manuscript,” and Zhang Xu’s “Four Ancient Poems.” Practicing daily, he has achieved significant improvement and recognition in both study and creation!
