Guo Zhimin, Han ethnicity, styled Taifeng, studio name Zunxian Hall. Born in 1964 in Luoyang, Henan, he is self-taught in calligraphy, inheriting the traditions of the Two Wangs, while extensively studying Sun Guoting, Huai Su, Su Dongpo, Zhao Zhiqian and others. He excels particularly in running-cursive script and Wei stele script. His works feature powerful brushwork, gracefully expansive structures, and compositions that are serene and refined, with a style both rustic and elegant. His large-character calligraphy is grand and magnificent, renowned throughout the He-Luo region. He is a contemporary, highly collectible and appreciating master calligrapher.Currently holds the positions of:Director of the Chinese Calligraphers and Painters Association,Deputy Secretary-General of the Yellow River Calligraphy Research Association,Member of the Henan Calligraphers Association.His works and biographical records have been included in numerous calligraphy collections.In 2003, he won the First Prize in the Sanmenxia City Senior Calligraphy Competition, Henan Province.In 2004, he received an award at the Chinese Metallurgical Department Calligraphy Exhibition.In 2005, he won the Calligraphy Award for the 60th Anniversary of the War of Resistance Against Japan in Henan Province.
